Richard Milani is an internationally recognized health futurist and medical thought leader. He currently serves as the Chief Clinical Transformation Officer, Vice Chairman of the Department of Cardiology, and Professor of Medicine at Ochsner Health System. Dr. Milani completed fellowships in Critical Care Medicine at the University of Florida, Preventive Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology at Harvard University (Massachusetts General Hospital), and Cardiovascular Diseases at Ochsner Clinic Foundation.
Dr. Milani’s research interests involve healthcare delivery with an emphasis on chronic disease prevention and management, medical informatics, healthcare technology, and clinical decision support.
He is the author of the book Death and Dollars: Solving the Epidemic of Chronic Disease as well as author or co-author of over 500 medical publications including 20 book chapters. He serves as a frequent lecturer for healthcare systems, Fortune 500 companies, as well as an advisor to venture capital firms and emerging healthcare companies.
